I know that I have been very repetitive with the topic but there are still so many things that I saw on my trip to New York and I wanted to show you some really cool stores that you can’t miss if you go there.
Fishs Eddy is a lovely kitchenware store that’s been open for over twenty five years on Broadway very near the Flatiron Building. The store is full of plates, mugs and cooking utensils, gorgeous and very original. There are things of classic style, modern, fun… all of them designed with an exquisite taste! I would have taken half the shop if I didn’t have to check it later on the plane!
Walking around the Sixth Avenue we found a beautiful gothic church and upon entering we realized that it was a retail fashion store. Inside the windows of the church and the modern furniture of the store creates a nice contrast. The store assistant turned out to be a nice Galician guy from La Coruña and told us the history of the place and said that in the 90s it was a NY fashion club where all the celebrities and fashionistas of the city gathered, worth a visit.
Near Fishs Eddy we found one of the stores of finnish brand Marimekko where they sell their colorful fabrics and all kinds of accessories decorated with bold prints. Everything lovely.
In the Soho area, near Purl Soho store, there is one of the stores of designer Orla Kiely. The store sells everything from clothing, accessories, homeware objects and furniture, all decorated with her famous prints.
